Meet the Team

Charity
Director, Counselor, Owner
For many years, my work in Addiction Science has been guided by both professional expertise and a deep personal understanding of the recovery process. Based in Great Bend, Kansas, I have had the privilege of walking alongside individuals and families as they navigate the challenges of substance use and the courageous path toward change.
Raised in Central Kansas, I was shaped by values that continue to influence my work every day—integrity, connection, strong relationships, opportunity, and resiliency. These principles are more than ideals; they are the foundation for meaningful, lasting recovery. Growing up in this community instilled in me a deep respect for the strength of individuals and the importance of supporting one another through life’s most difficult moments.
Through years of experience, I have come to understand that addiction is not simply a condition to be treated, but a human experience that requires compassion, patience, and a personalized approach. Every individual brings a unique story, and with it, unique needs. By meeting people where they are, we can begin to establish a realistic and sustainable path forward.
I firmly believe that small steps are still steps. Progress does not have to be perfect to be meaningful. Being part of someone’s transformative journey is not only an honor—it is a responsibility I carry with humility and dedication. Each moment of growth, no matter how small, represents hope in action.
At the core of my work, and the mission of this agency, is a simple but powerful belief: people can and do change. Science provides us with tools, insight, and evidence-based practices that are essential to recovery. Yet, there are moments when healing reaches beyond what science alone can explain. In those moments, faith—whether in oneself, in others, or in something greater—can become a powerful force for renewal.
Recovery is possible. Change is real. And no one has to walk that path alone.

Peer Support
I am a dedicated peer mentor with a passion for walking alongside individuals on their recovery journey. I have been in recovery since October 11, 2022, and I bring both lived experience and compassion to the work I do.
I am a mother of three adult daughters and a committed life partner. My own journey has shown me the importance of connection, resilience, and support. I believe deeply in giving back what was given to me by others, and I strive to offer that same encouragement, honesty, and hope to those I serve.
I believe it’s important to share not only the successes of sobriety, but also the challenges that come with it. I also believe that our past does not define our future, and that lasting change is possible for anyone willing to take the next step.
It is a true honor to walk beside others at the beginning of their journey and support them as they grow.
Recovery is possible.

Paul- From brokenness to purpose, from abuse to anointing from prison walls to preaching God’s word. Only God can take a life the enemy tried to destroy and turn it into a testimony that sets other free. I stand here today not because I’m perfect but because Jesus stepping into my story and made me new. 2 Corinthians 5:17- “The old has gone, the new is here.” 2 Corinthians 5: 14- “For Christ’s love compels us…”
Nothing is impossible when God writes the story.
